Igor M. Verner is an Associate
Professor at the Department of Education in Technology and Science,
Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. His research interests
include experiential learning, educational robotics, geometric
design, spatial ability, mathematical learning in the context
of engineering and architecture, multicultural education. He
directed development and evaluation of courses "Calculus
with applications" and "Mathematical Aspects of Architectural
Design" "Mathematical Models in Science and Technology",
and "Teaching Geometry in Multicultural Context". Results
of the studies were described in the papers published in the
International Journal of Mathematics Education in Science and
Technology and in the NNJ. In 2005-2006 Dr. Verner worked as
a visiting professor at the Tufts University and was a visiting
scholar at the University of California, Berkeley. He co-directs
the project "Teaching Geometry in Cultural and Social Context"
funded by the Israel Higher Education Council and Hebrew University.
With Sarah Maor he has published various papers in the Nexus
