Nexus 2012 Poster Sessions

Posters will be on display throughout the 
Nexus 2012 conference. Poster presenters will be offered the opportunity to discuss their work with conference participants during lunch and coffee breaks.

FORMATS FOR POSTERS AND RELATED PAPERS

The Organizing Committee of Nexus 2012 intends to publish all the accepted posters and related papers in printed proceedings that will be delivered to the conference participants.
In order to be eligible for publication, the authors of posters must:
Submit the poster and related paper by the deadlines;
Create the poster and the paper according to the following instructions for poster and paper layout;
Register for the conference and pay the conference fee (which indicates that the presenter promises to attend the conference).

The following specifications are designed to make possible a uniform format for publication of the work presented during the Nexus 2012 Poster Sessions.

DEADLINES

Poster Session: Posters and papers must be sent by March 31, 2012.

PAPER

Nexus Poster Session presenters are asked to present a poster and a paper explaining their research. The posters will be published in the proceedings as the illustration for the related papers, no other image is allowed in the paper.
Papers should not be longer than 10.000 characters/1600 words including footnotes with a short abstract of 600/100.
Papers must be mailed as .doc or .docx file, following the layout provided, which can be downloaded in either .doc or .docx format (paperformat.doc, paperformat.docx) with a maximum of 4 pages with 2 additional pages for the poster.
Save the full text as required in a .doc or .docx file.
Name the file as “name_surname.doc” or “name_surname.docx”.

POSTER

The poster format is B1 vertical (70 cm. wide x 100 cm high), printed on heavy (160/200 gr.) matte paper. Printed posters will be accepted from authors when they arrive in Milan and mounted for display by the organizing committee. They can be printed on the Campus at the expense of authors.

They are ready for use with Adobe Illustrator, Autocad and Adobe Acrobat Professional or Adobe Photoshop.
The central stripe for the Posters is also available as ready background:
nexus_ps_editable.pdf.

To these must be added the TITLE/subtitle and the NAME/affiliation as required, using any software for graphics that supports these formats.
Please maintain a white frame of 1 cm all around, and an empty frame of 2 cm. (light gray in the example) without any images or text, both in the upper and in the lower part of the poster. The two image/text boxes should be a maximum 43 high x 64 cm. wide, without borders.
Font: Arial regular, minimum height: 21 pt; maximum height: 40 pt
Background: white or light gray
Text: black or colour
Images: colour and/or gray scale
Save and send the poster as a .jpg or .pdf file, in A4 format, 300 dpi in RGB and gray tones.
Name the file with your name_surnamecolor.jpg (for posters in colour) and name_surnamebn.jpg (for black-white) or name_surnamecolor.pdf and name_surnamebn.pdf.
Maintain the central stripe (color and font) as in this layout, using the Arial narrow font when the title is too long.
Center (right side, right aligned, automatic spacing):
POSTER TITLE (Arial bold, 50 pt, white) 
Poster subtitle (Arial bold, 33 pt, white)
YOUR NAME AND SURNAME (Arial bold 33 pt, white)
Affiliation (Arial bold, 27 pt, white)
