Diogo Pereira Henriques is a designer and researcher who lives and works between East and West, in the fields of urbanism, architecture, design, software, and higher education. He is currently a Future Architecture Fellow 2021, of the EU-funded Future Architecture Platform. He is finishing his Ph.D. in Architecture, on the subject of future visions, at Northumbria University, UK. He has been connected and inspired by the NNJ global community worldwide since his participation at the Ph.D. Day of the 'Nexus 2018: Architecture and Mathematics Conference', held at the University of Pisa, Italy.

Previously, he received his M.Sc. in Architecture and Urbanism and Diploma in Architecture from the University of Lisbon, Portugal. And he was also a graduate student (Erasmus Intensive Program) at the University of Basilicata, Italy, an exchange student (Erasmus Program) at Barcelona Tech, Spain, and an invited student at TU Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Additionally, an elementary and secondary education in Arts, Musical Studies, Piano, and Chamber Music, enriched with family travels around the globe, set his curious and social mindset to become a citizen of the world and lifelong learner.

Diogo has been publishing, presenting and exhibiting his individual and team work in Europe and Asia, and has been receiving several practice awards, mentions and research funding, from such institutions as: UN-Habitat and World Urban Campaign; European Union; Future Architecture Platform; Portuguese Ministry of Culture, Architects Guild (OA), and Science and Technology Foundation (FCT); Spanish Higher Council of Architects (CSCAE); UK Economic and Social Research Council, Government Office for Science and Future of Cities Foresight Project; International Union of Architects (UIA); Venice Architecture Biennale; and Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban).
